Why did you choose the fine art workshop?

D: It is really easy, I like to draw a lot.

R:  I work as graphic, and I can express myself more than in any other way.

What did you paint?

D: My picture has two parts. The ground is black and red, very dynamic and agressive colours. These represent bad things, like war. But there is a bridge above it, which actually looks like an exsisting bridge near our town. This represents harmony between countries, thats why it is made of flags.

R: It is a screaming face, from an expressionist painting, it shows the fear from xenophobia. 

What is the conception behind the folding screen circle?

D: The only fix idea behind it was, that there should be a blue top for everyone, and the rest should be colourful. And we had to put something to the picture which presents the countries.

R: Yes, and in case of my picture I used many colours to show the difference through many colours to show how different cultures can be, but since the pictures go into another it also shows how they can work and exist together.

So you can not understand the pictures without each other?

D: You can, but they are a whole together.

Does xenophobia exist in your country?

D: I had met racism on the schoolbus when I was smaller. I was born in Bosnia Hercegovina, and some guy called me names behind my back, and made me angry.

R: In Greece there is racism against the Albanians and the Serbians, but interestingly among the elder people. If something happens, for example a robbery, and an albanian is involved everyone talks aboput it. If a greek person does it, no one really cares.
