First of all we just had a nice aerobic warming up with more male than female participants. (I hope you know what I mean here) It took only ten minutes but it did not made everyone hungry enough for the breakfast so the meal became quite unpopular. Anyway.
This was followed by a short trip to the house of the city where the major was kind enough to tell us everything (or even a bit more...) about the city we should know. History, facilities, natural area, schools, healthcare, connections, people, so really, but really evrything. After that all the participants and the local TV channel as well became familiar with the aims and topics of LSA, thanks for Máté Balassa head organizer, who handed over the possibility of speech to the workshop leaders who gave a short introduction (sometimes together with the help of the translators) about the ideas and plans for the week in front of us.
Just before noon the procedure took place which I was calling the opening of our mouth before speaking art. All the workshop leaders disscussed with his or her team is going to do. And this was really a discussion: everybody could come up with his or her ideas, so not only just the work, but the team work has started. Everyone is satisfied, everyone is happy.
Lunch: some is satisfied, someone is not, someone is happy, someone is not.
The afternoon we got two informal and just seemingly unimportant programmes: the introductory shows, and the food exchange of the delegations. The one and only way(s) to get familiar with authentic self-identity, and authentic tastes of a country. Do you need any examples? There you go!
The Romanian delegation started with an interactive forum theatre play about xenopphobia and aggression.
Unfortunately we could not see through the DVD of the Greek delegation about their marvelous seaside town Katerini due to technical problems.
Germany presented the trademarks of Germany but they also showed, that Germany is more complex than that and they managed to make almost the people dance ska together. You can actually check this out on the cover of the local newspaper.
Italy presented briefly the landmarks of their country, and their province Mantova. Laughing was also guaranteed.
The Hungarian team introduced almost all of their celebrations and sorrows in their 1000 years history.
We around dinnertime in this period, and you are right, if you think that we had a great (mixed) dinner. Salame, delicious grana padano, torta sbrisolona and mostarda di mele, these are the tastes of Mantova and I recomend you them.
Just like the calamari, the octtupus, the frapé, the metaxa from Katerini the pörkölt and bor from Hungary, the zacusca, the cascara, and Rom, and the Kartoffelpuffer mit Quarkdip. Sorry for using the original names of these meals, but they are so unique that I think I must not translate their name. Sorry.
This turned into a large party. Ok, not so large, tomorrow everybody work and speak.
